Dynamic Spinal Stabilisation
SMS Implant
QSpine
Background
As specialists in spinal products, QSpine came to Shore to assist in the development and manufacture of a new spinal implant device for distribution throughout the UK and EU.
The purpose of the implant device is to relieve or prevent low-back pain that accompanies intervertebral segment instability. As a secondary benefit, it encourages healing of the disc and facet joint lesions and slows degeneration of adjacent segments.
Our knowledge of advanced engineering materials and dynamic finite elements analysis enabled us to produce this ground-breaking component. With minimal part count and exceptional mechanical performance, the instrument makes the implantation of SMS devices a safe and simple procedure.
