Shore launch a training platform device for nasal delivery treatments based on Aptar’s UDS

Published: 18 February 2020

As a market leader in the design and supply of advanced training solutions for nasal delivery devices, we are delighted to announce the availability of a new training platform based on Aptar’s Unit Dose Spray (UDS) device.

With more patients than ever before self-administering thanks to new therapies and products on the market, effective in-use training has a significant impact on compliance and health outcomes. Our reusable trainer exactly mimics the appearance, activation force, and feel of the Aptar parent device, resulting in a trainer which improves adherence, reduces adverse effects, and increases brand value by delivering a real and positive training experience.

Utilising our unique one-step reset mechanism, this simple and effective platform solution guarantees over 500 cycle operations without degradation in performance. Customer flexibility is ensured as specific force profiles for activation and delivery can be implemented to mimic different drug formulations. At the same time, the technology can be incorporated into various form factors to meet specific customer device aesthetics.

We deliver class-leading drug delivery devices and training products to the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. We work to a fully certified design and manufacturing process, applying expertise from concept design through engineering development to provide solutions that optimise usability and performance.
