Shore showcases drug delivery expertise and devices at PODD and PDA

Topics such as drug delivery needs, the latest trends and a wide range of innovative drug delivery technologies were shared and discussed that could improve the delivery of various types of drugs.

This year’s talks and panel discussions were on topics such as ‘sustainability in manufacturing and development of delivery technology and devices’, with stand-out remarks including ‘reusability doesn’t need to compromise usability’. With many pharmaceutical companies seeking alternative materials for sustainable device development, Shore is well-placed to support this demand.

For example, we’ve been exploring an alternative material in the design of a single-use delivery device. Paper injection moulding is a potential game-changer, offering the possibility of replacing traditional plastics with a fully biodegradable material that naturally decomposes.
