We are seeking a Human Factors Engineer who will play a key role contributing to a challenging and varied project mix, all within an excellent working environment. You will have strong user research and analytical skills and be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline with industry experience in a suitable human factors or UX discipline.

This role is best suited to candidates with medical device or drug delivery human factors experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.

You will be equally comfortable working alone with minimum supervision or as part of a wider project team. At all times bring your own powerful creative input into the collaborative mix, always pushing the boundaries with fresh ideas and technical solutions.

Primary Role

As part of a skilled and dedicated multi-disciplinary team, provide professional Human Factors expertise on multiple projects on everything from preliminary analyses, evaluations and concept creation, through to usability testing and HF validation studies.

Ideal Requirements / Skills

• Lead front end user research, user journey and design strategy effort.
• Conduct preliminary analyses of new and existing categories, devices, and user groups.
• Contribute to User Interface and device design concept creation.
• Proven experience running formative studies and HF validation studies.
• Designing, planning, executing, and analysing human factors and usability studies in the UK and USA.
• Managing and liaising with 3rd party vendors, such as recruiters, HF service providers and user research
• A Comfortable and confident moderator in user studies and interviews
• Capable of writing technical HF reports
• Lead task analyses and user risk analyses in accordance with ISO 14971, 62366 and FDA guidance
• Excellent client facing presentation & communication skills.
• Self-starting with a can-do attitude, proven ability to work individually or in a team with little guidance
• Professional awareness and appreciation of client focus
